Terms and Conditions
Crystal Bay Prawns Win a Trip for two to Tropical North Queensland Promotion
Information on how to enter forms part of the terms of entry. Entry into the competition is deemed acceptance of these terms and conditions.
Entry is open to all residents of Australia aged 18 years and over who purchase Crystal Bay product and register online during the promotion period (“Eligible Entrant”). Employees and their immediate families of the Promoter, and their associated agencies and companies are not eligible to enter.
The promotion commences on 26 March 2009 at 12.01am (AEDT) and concludes on 13 May 2009 at 10.00am (AEST). (“Promotion Period”)
Customers who purchase Crystal Bay prawn products (no minimum or maximum limit on purchase size) during the Promotion Period are eligible to enter, and will receive one entry per purchase each time they register online at www.crystalbayprawns.com.au/tropical and complete the online entry form, including their answer to in “4 words or less describe how Crystal Bay prawns taste”. Entries will be judged based on the creativity of their answer.
Eligible Entrants may enter as many times as they like but only one entry per purchase will be permitted. Entrants will be expected to keep secure their till receipt to verify their purchase in the case that they are a winner, as proof of purchase.
The judging will take place at 11.00am (AEDT) on 18 May 2009 at 15 Grosvenor Street, Neutral Bay, NSW 2089. The winner will be notified by telephone and email and their name will be published on www.crystalbayprawns.com.au/tropical on 19 May 2009.
The three eligible entries judged as the most creative by the panel of judges, will each win a return trip for 2 people to Mission Beach, North Queensland (to be taken on the 6th June 2009 to the 11 June 2009 to coincide with Taste of the Tropics Week at the Elandra Hotel). The winners must confirm their ability to accept the prize as stated (including dates) within one week of the judging. If he/she is unable to take the prize in its entirety, he/she will forfeit the prize and the next most creative entry will be awarded the prize.
The prize includes:
Two return economy airfares from the winners nearest Australian capital city to Cairns, Queensland
Five nights twin share accommodation in four star resort accommodation in Crystal Bay
$1,000 spending money
The maximum retail value of each prize is $7,400
Total maximum prize-pool value is $22,200
Meals, spending money, transport to and from departure points, taxes any applicable insurances and other ancillary costs are the responsibility of the winner.
Prize values are correct as at date of publication and the Promoter accepts no responsibility for any variation in any prize value. Prizes are not transferable or exchangeable and cannot be taken as cash.
The winners and their companions are responsible for all other expenses including spending money, meals (unless specified), drinks, transfers (unless specified), laundry charges, activities (unless specified), incidentals, taxes (including departure taxes), energy surcharges, gratuities, services charges, travel insurance and all other ancillary costs. Travel insurance is highly recommended to protect against the additional costs incurred in the event of unforeseen circumstances.
The winners and their companions must travel at the same time, must depart from the same Australian capital city and are responsible for transport from their residence to their nearest Australian capital city for flight. If a winner resides in North Queensland then the flight component of the prize will not be included and the winner and their travelling companion will be responsible for making their way to and from Mission Beach, Queensland.
Air tickets are available on the regular scheduled services of each airline and are subject to seasonal embargos. Frequent Flyer points are not available from any airline.
By accepting the prize, the winner agrees to participate in and co-operate as required with all reasonable media editorial requests relating to the prize, including but not limited to, being interviewed and photographed, filmed and/or chaperoned throughout the duration of the prize.
Independent financial advice should be sought as tax implications may arise as a result of accepting the prize.

Prize must be taken on the 6 June 2009 to the 11 June 2009. If a winner and travelling companion are, for whatever reason, unable to take an element of the prize within the time stipulated then that element of the prize will be forfeited by the winner. Cash will not be awarded in lieu of the prize or element thereof
The Promoter’s decision is final and the Promoter will not enter into correspondence regarding the Competition result.
It is a condition of accepting the prize that the winners must comply with all the conditions of use of the prize and the prize supplier’s requirements.
In the case of the intervention of any outside act, agent or event which prevents or significantly hinders the Promoter’s ability to proceed with the competition on the dates and in the manner described in these terms and conditions, including but not limited to vandalism, power failures, tempests, natural disasters, acts of God, civil unrest, strike, war, act of terrorism, the Promoter may in its absolute discretion cancel the competition and recommence it from the start on the same conditions, subject to any written directions given under State Regulation.
All entries become the property of the Promoter. The Promoter collects personal information about you to enable you to participate in this promotion but no further use of this information will be made without prior consent.
By entering the promotion, unless otherwise advised, each entrant also agrees that the Promoter may use this information, in any media for future promotional, marketing and publicity purposes without any further reference, payment or other compensation to the entrant, including sending the entrant electronic messages.
